The history of the Harp of David goes back centuries. Before 1967 the building sat on the green line. Teddy Kollek, the first mayor of unified Jerusalem created a cordon of art centres around the Old City and he chose Perli Pelzig to set up his studio here. Arik, Perliās son continues the tradition. A permanent exhibition of works by Perli and his wife Yanny can be seen in the galleries.
